I've Got the blues....

I've got the I'm so tired of being sick from my allergies, can't get a moment to myself, want to scrap, but have NO ideas or motivation, I need a vacation BAAAAADD, I want to sleep on the couch bluuuuuueesss....oh yeahhhh! LOL What the heck is wrong with me? I am DYING to create, but when I think of having to think of something, take out all my stuff, wonder if Mikey will even let me get anything done or if I'm just going to have to put all my stuff back...ugh, it's just so discouraging and I'd rather not even try! Anyone else ever feel like this or it just me?? Please tell me I'm not the only one! I was hoping to get some scrapping done tonight, but after I spent the better part of the day cleaning and then napped a bit on the couch after I took my allergy meds, then ate dinner, bathed Mikey, took a shower, put some laundry away...I just didn't feel like it anymore. Boo hoo!! I have a big pile of new stuff laying on my table just waiting to be used. Well, not anymore because I had it sitting there for days so I had to put it in its proper place. I even got some YUUUUMMMY goodies in the mail today...some more stuff from that birthday club I'm in. But even that didn't motivate me. I'm sitting here right now looking at all my stuff in my clear pocket organizer over my table and looking at all its yummy contents, but nothing :( WAAAAHHHH! I don't even remember how long I have gone without scrapping. Or if it's ever happened before. Chon wants to get together sometime this week. Since my Mom is on vacation, she can watch Mikey for me so I can have a little break, but now I have to think of stuff to work on. I still want to get some Halloween pics scrapped. Oh will someone please send me some scrappy mojo my way? Sasha? Janey? Chon?? ANYONE?? LOL

On to other news...LOL Yesterday morning, i was planning on waking up and making the kids a nice breakfast like pancakes and bacon and eggs and hashbrowns. Well, Mikey snuck out of my bed around nine or so and I heard him shuffling around the room looking for his shirt (he HAS TO sleep shirtless) and slippers because he said the floor was cold. I got out of bed like thirty minutes later and made my way to the kitchen where I found Lij had made himself some scrambled eggs and toast and had even set a place for Mikey and had given him a piece of toast! Darn! It JUST now dawned on me that I should have taken a picture of him!! I give scrapbookers a bad name!! LOL Anyway, it just made me see how fast Lij is growing up and becoming so independent and self sufficient and how pretty soon, he's probably not going to need me for much. And pretty soon, Mikey will be there too!!! SLOW DOWN...please!! LOL I'm proud of Lij though. Spending all this extra time with his dad is really benefiting him. I definately have him to thank for Lij slowly but surely coming out his shell :) Okay, what else?? Hmm...I think that is it for now. Pics of my scrappy goodies follow :)

And I got ALL this at Joanne's!! I went with the intentions of ONLY buying that trim I talked about, but when I went to look today, they didn't really have the colors I wanted :( I did get the Cloud 9 diecut quotes...that WAS on the "list", but I also got some more of that cool "Lucky You" stuff and a couple of other things that were 30% off!! I also went to M's after the movies and spent $4 from the gc Mel gave me...still have some left too :)

We actually started out the day "early". Well, early for us that is because we are ALWAYS late...ALWAYS! We stopped by Sonic first and picked up some slushes for Miguel's parents and went by their shop for a quick visit. Then, we drove around for what seemed like FOREVER looking for a place to eat breakfast. We had originally gone to Panchito's, but there was a LONG line and I did not want to wait. But now that I think of it, for all the driving we did, by the time we did sit down to eat, we could have just waited there. We ended up eating at this place called Taco Taco Cafe and waited in line there too, but not for long. The food was good. We took the kids to the movies from there. I'm sad to say that Madagascar 2 was not all I had hoped it would be :( It was funny, but in my opinion, not as funny as the first one. And too much "adult humor" I think. I know small kids don't "get it", but I bet there are some that do. The kids seemed to like it though. Other than that, we didn't do much. Oh, we took the kids to Toys R Us so that Mikey could pick a toy because this morning...we actually got him to POOP in the potty!! Yep, I know it's only one time, but this is a BIG deal!! I wonder what it is with Mikey and pooping on the potty. He will swear up and down that he doesn't have to poop and then go hide somewhere and do his business to avoid sitting on the toilet. He will sit there to pee so I don't think it's a fear of the toilet. I don't know, but speaking for myself...LOL..I'd rather just "go" in the potty than have all that "stuff" smeared all over me! LOL Yeah, that sounded gross!! But really!! I don't get it!! Like just GO ALREADY!! LOL Hopefully this will be the beginning of getting him out of his pullups. They are pretty pricey and I'm tired of wiping butts! LOL Oh anyway, Mikey got some Play Doh set and of course, then I had to let Lij pick something and he got some kind of Ipet speaker thing that's a penguin and you can plug your Ipod into it and it lights up and stuff. I don't know what it is! LOL But he did, so whatever! Then we just did our grocery shopping and came home and ate dinner and just chilled. Right now, the kids are watching tv and I'm getting kind of sleepy so I'm going to be heading off to bed in a bit. So, good night :)

Under the weather....

Ugh, remember how I said I wasn't feeling good? Well, I'm sick...allergies...my throat hurts/itches and so does my head/eyes. I'm sneezing and stuffy and runny all at the same time. I'm taking antibiotics, but I still don't feel good at all. But thank God, thank God, thank God (yes, I had to thank Him three times) that even though Mikey is a bit sneezy/ stuffy, ect, he sure doesn't act sick, still has his appetite and has not gotten a fever which means no infection which is always good. I'm STILL struggling with the scrapping thing. I'm going to attribute it to my not feeling well and hope that when this allergy thing goes away, my mojo will come back...cross your fingers.

Lij got dropped off yesterday afternoon :) and we had chicken pot pie for dinner...mmmmmm. His dad and his wife are going on a cruise..leaving tomorrow for like a week I think so I hope they have a fun and safe trip. Oh getting back to the LO...I lost my train of thought...I did ONE page last night and it was not fun...sad feeling not "feeling" the scrapping. But still think the page was cute. I think I'll leave it alone for a while and not try to force myself to do anything.

Tomorrow, we are taking the kids to see Madagascar 2...can't wait! I LOOOOOOVED the first one and this one looks pretty funny too! I'm probably more excited than the kids are. I'm going to try to swing by that new Joanne's and get these cool Cloud 9 diecuts my sis got there that apparently I didn't see when I went on my birthday. And I've been dying for some of that pom pom fringe trim I've seen so many people use. They had so many different colors too the last time I went. Other than that, no big plans...just family time. My mom is on vacation and left with two of my aunts to El Paso to visit my cousin Tino. She'll be back on Sunday.

Well, that's all for now. I'm not feeling so great so I think I'll go veg out on the couch while the kids watch tv. I am not doing dinner tonight....Domino's pizza for dinner :)

Where does depression hurt....

everywhere. Who does depression hurt? Everyone. LOL I'm just kidding! And I am in no way making fun of anyone who suffers from depression. Has anyone seen that commercial though? For some reason, that's how I have been feeling lately. Not depressed, but just tired and I have no motivation to do anything whatsoever. I just want to lay on the couch and nap or do nothing and bum around. As I was laying on the couch earlier about to take a nap with Mikey, that commercial popped into my head. And I thought I would be a good candidate for that commercial....me just laying on my couch vegging out! LOL Maybe it's just a "phase". I know my allergies have been bothering me on and off lately so I've been taking allergy meds which do make me very drowsy so that may be attributing to my "tired" feeling. Who knows! But hopefully it goes away soon!

I "tried" scrapping earlier today. I say "tried" because as much as I had the urge to be creative....NOTHING was coming to me. And I resisted the urge to lift something in order to "force" my brain to think..lol It took me about three hours maybe to finally get it done and it was like pulling teeth! Which is kind of sad because I absolutely LOVE scrapping, but it was not so much fun today. But on the up side, I do LOVE my LO! And I used some of that cool lace I got a WM a couple of weeks back. Another happy surprise today, I got another birthday gift in the mail today from that Birthday Club I am in on a site I post on....some Doodlebug alpha stickers which I just think I can never have enough of and some cool ribbons. Halloween pics and a LO

I tried getting back into the scrapping groove mid last week and used a LO Chon had done for inspiration. I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I'm feeling "the itch" to scrap, but my mind is just not in the right frame of mind lately...too much else going on in there I guess.
Gilbert dropped Elijah off to me Thursday after school, so I got some extra time with him :) My sis and her husband picked us up on Friday and we went over to their house because we were going to do trick or treating with them. The kids were REALLY excited about it. Lij was dressing up as Michael Jackson and Mikey was going to be a pirate, but changed his mind at the last minute when my sister showed him a Cat in the Hat costume she had. He looked SO cute in it!! And he was SO fascinated with his TAIL! LOL I did NOT get the good pictures I had anticipated :( It was already too dark to get good pics on any other setting except night time and by the time the third flash went off, the kids had already moved a million times! Out of the 95 pics I took, I only got a handful of good ones...oh well!! The kids all had a great time and got lots of candy. We had a late night pizza party and didn't get to bed until well after midnight. Good times :) Pretty much all going on here. Oh, I just ordered some of those ADORABLE Prima journal cards with the little animals on them and they came in the mail yesterday. I just placed my order like two days ago...now THAT is quick!! I must remember to leave some really good feedback! I got both the boy and girl sets...can't wait to use them! I hope my scrappy mojo comes for a visit...I miss it :( That's all for now!

I'm BACK!!

What ever did I do BEFORE I had a computer??? I have NO idea! LOL Our internet was down since early last week because of some kind of mix up with our internet service at our old house and here. I spent SO many hours talking with different people at AT&T before they finally figured out what was wrong and were able to fix it! So it's been up and running again since last night...thank God! I felt so disconnected from the world...literally...lol. I got to do lots of other things while the internet was down...like nap...LOL...and spend time with Mikey of course. Hmm...I don't even know what I haven't posted about. Not much has gone on...yes, my life is not that exciting! I had a somewhat "nice" birthday. Things didn't go according to "plan", but it was a nice day...much needed one on one time with Miguel. I went by that new J's on my birthday and picked myself up a few goodies for only $20! All of their paper craft stuff I think was 40% off so I got some pretty good deals. Colorbok I think had some really cool new stuff that I've never seen before...some XY&Z stuff or something like that. I also went by M's at The Quarry because I had a gift card, but couldn't find anything I wanted...nothing at all :( That might be a good thing though. Miguel also took me to Victoria's Secret to buy me a bra. For those of you who know me, I HATE bra shopping because it is SO hard to find one that does what I want it to do! I had the woman there do a "fitting" and I was pretty much right on target as far as the size I had been buying before. I did find though that going up a cup size made a BIG difference. And after trying on about TEN bras, I found one I was pretty happy with! It was funny because Miguel said something about getting myself a few bras and some undies if I wanted and I'm like "ummm...do you know how much this bra costs?" He guessed $12...LOL...WAY off!! I usually buy my bras at T's or WM and pay about that for them there which probably has alot to do with the fact that I can't find a good one. So I guess if you want a good bra, you're going to have to pay more than $12! LOL I told him that's why I don't shop there (because he's always trying to get me to buy stuff from Victoria's Secret). I do have to say that the bra I bought is so comfy and holds the girls pretty well!! :) We also had ice cream from some little shop there at The Quarry and just walked around which was nice because like I said, we never really get to do that. We didn't end up having enough time to come home and shower and stuff which was a bummer because I had planned on getting "dressed" for dinner and had bought myself an outfit and everything. I was wearing a tshirt and ratty old shorts so we ended up just eating at Jason's Deli. I had a YUMMY Chicken Ceasar salad, but something must not have been good because almost as soon as we left, I got a HORRIBLE stomache ache. Thankfully, we were right by my sis's house and she was home...thank God...and I got to utilize her facilities and take some Pepto. We were going to catch a movie, but by then, I didn't feel much like it anymore and all the showings for "Nights In Rodanthe" were over so we just made a pit stop at WM for some photo paper and headed home. Without going into too much detail, things "went down" on Sunday and we are taking a little seperation for a while....I think he needs to get some things prioritized in his life, so that's "kind of" bumming me right now, but I'll live. No more talk about that!
Yesterday, Mikey and I took a little trip to Crossroads and I used the gift card my friend Melissa sent (thank you!!) and then some...lol...and got myself a few scrappy things. I also picked up a few beads and stuff to make some charm bracelets I had been wanting to make for me and my sis. Maybe I'll do that later. I feel like creating, but not very "scrappy". I think that's pretty much all that's going on. Here's some pics to share. The alpha stickers and glue, ect are what I bought with my HL gift card. The other stuff is what I got at Joanne's. Oh, and I also did a quick LO some days ago...still in the smaller size. TFL :)

I received your card in the mail yesterday. It was a very nice suprise. It made my day:) I was touched by your words...sniff, sniff...tear:) I hope you have a very nice day even though Drew is away. A Quick Page

Okay, so as everyone can see, I have stuck with my 8.5x11 size. It's just so much faster and easier to "fill up". It's like I can still get my creative fix even if I'm short on time! I used a pic from this past weekend at the pumpkin patch. Since it wasn't that great of a pic either, it was better that I was able to print it out a smaller size to fit my page. The cutting out of the flowers from the Daisy D's pp and the rub on were the most time consuming. Darn those Creative Imaginations rubons! I have so many of their swatchbooks and for some reason, they are just so darned hard to rub off! Anyone else have this problem? I've noticed it with ALL the CI swatchbook rubons I have. Do rubons "go bad" if you've had them for a long time? Like, are they harder to rub off? I don't know. But I just LOVE them so much, so even though it irritates me how long it takes to adhere sometimes, I still have a TON of them! LOL I printed out three pics today and had planned to do three pages, but I got stuck on my second LO then didn't have the time to get to my third one :( Mikey is finally asleep now, but I'm crampy and PMS-y and not so in the scrappy mood anymore...maybe tomorrow. Well, here's my page. TFL :)

Lovecreek Orchard...or BUST...

So I wanted to take the kids to a pumpkin patch this year. The kids had never been and neither had I. I looked up Lovecreek Orchard online and saw all the fun activities they had for their pumpkin patch and thought that would be the perfect family day trip! WRONG!!

I set my alarm really early...8:00 a.m..that's early for me! LOL So that I could get ready before the kids were up and have our bag packed and stuff together. And then make breakfast, eat, clean up and leave. We had lots to do too other than the pumpkin patch. We had to go to Target to return a jacket I had bought Lij there on Friday. He wants to be Michael Jackson for Halloween and I found this awesome jacket there that totally resembled the red and black "Beat It" jacket. But when I got it home and looked at it more closely, I noticed that it had some black marks on the front. So we had to take that back and get another. We also had to pick up a birthday gift for Miguel's friend's daughter because we were invited to her party that afternoon at 5:00. I also had to run by the post office to mail some packages, go by Party City to get Lij his sequined glove, go by the bank to pull out some money from the ATM, do our grocery shopping, go to the pumpkin patch and be back in town for the party! Whew!! That's alot of stuff....NOT gonna happen! Miguel left the house at about 9:00 to get his parents vehicle, didn't get back until 11:30 WITHOUT their truck. We didn't leave our house until about 12:30, did all our running around, gassed up and didn't end up heading out to Medina until 2:40! We got lost, the kids were getting very frustrated and hungry on the long ride...I don't blame them. I had even joked about it to Miguel and said that what if we got there and the place closed at five. Well, I wasn't too off. When we got there, the place closed at FOUR and it was 4:05! The grounds were still "open" so we got to take some pumpkin pics, we built a scarecrow, and the kids painted some pumpkins, but the pony and hay rides were over and it was just too hot and sunny and the kids were already hungry and thirsty and I had a HORRIBLE headache from all the hay. We stayed about 45 minutes and then left to eat at a Sonic we had seen nearby on our way in. The kids were a bit happier after that and Mikey fell asleep on the way back into town. We got to the party about six thirty and most of the guests were gone. We stayed for about an hour...Mikey jumped his little heart out on the Moon Bounce, but I sat the whole time trying not to puke from my horrible allergy headache. We didn't do our grocery shopping after all. We got home, I bathed Mikey with me, took two Benadryls and went to bed! WHAT A DAY! I didn't even get many good pics! Too much sun and squinting and uncooperative kids!Remind me NEVER to take a long car trip with the kids again...NEVER!!

Oh, on Friday, me and Mikey met Chon at Crossroads and we went and did a little shopping. I got myself some nice jeans and some cooool lace at Wal Mart. Oh, I also got some nice scrapping goodies in the mail for my birthday from some scrapping friends. It's for this birthday swap thing we've been doing all this year. LOVED it all :) Oh, and I got my birthday gift from Chon...LOTS of nice things!! Thanks, sistah!! :) That's pretty much all that's been going on the last few days. Tomorrow is cleaning day and back on the treadmill because my leg feels ALOT better finally. So, maybe some scrapping later in the week. Now for some pics :)

I have had this picture in my computer since LAST Halloween! I FINALLY scrapped it!! Whipped this LO up real quick after Mikey went to bed tonight. I am seriously thinking of scrapping strictly in this size now! Another plus that I didn't think of before is that I can just buy 3 ring binders to put these LOs in. I'm not too picky about what the "album" looks like...I just want them "in" something. And you know how sometimes you can find really cute 3 ring binders at Target and stuff like that...I'm thinking this will be more cost efficient as far as that. Anywhere I can save some money right now is always good :) So, here's my LO. Oh, and if anyone knows any good sites for this size with sketches, do tell :)
