I've been MIA for a while....

We ended up staying at my mom's over Spring Break and she doesn't have a computer....I was in MAJOR withdrawals! LOL I had my nephew with me since that Tuesday too, so with THREE kids, I had my hands full! The kids had fun though. That Tuesday, my sis and I had the kids with us while we did some shopping and then went back to her house to let the kids play some games on the Wii. On Friday, I took Lij and Matthew to the zoo. Boy, I did NOT know it was going to be that packed!! OMGosh, the line to get in to the zoo was INSANE!! I know that ppl start camping out that weekend to save their picnic spots for Easter Sunday, but I didn't know that many people would be wanting to get into the zoo. They had four seperate lines to buy tickets and we had to wait about 20 minutes before we got in. Once we did, it wasn't that bad....until we went into the little cafe they have there for lunch and the line there was just as long! We waited a while there too. It took us less time to eat than the time we stood in line!! We spent about three hours walking around and then we took the little train ride around the park too. The kids had a great time! I got some really good pics that I can't wait to scrap!

I did this page for a friend of mine who is giving this to her cousin as a baby shower gift. It was fun working with pinks for a baby! I am really loving the way this came out! TFL :)

Am I Going Crazy??

I have done some pretty stupid things, SAID alot of things that make absolutely NO sense...even to me! LOL I'm convinced it's "mommy brain". I am constantly writing things down on lists I have up on the fridge: TO Do lists, GROCERY lists, STUFF TO PACK lists.... yet I STILL sometimes walk into a room and forget what I'm doing there or end up forgetting stuff at the grocery store, or spend the weekend at my mom's and forget something I really needed. Anyway, last night I am talking to my mom on the phone and sitting in the bathroom before I take a shower and she's telling me how the neighbor lady told her that she has just had a man break one of her windows and try to break into her house while she was there with her grandson. Fortunately, when the man saw that people where home, he left. But my mom says "and she was just about to get into the shower". I ALWAYS take the phone in the bathroom with me when I'm showering especially if the kids are with me so I'm sitting there looking around for the phone, making sure I brought it with me and I can't find it. I'm looking on the sink, in the towel basket, all the while talking to my mom ON THE PHONE!! HELLO??? Am I losing it?? I don't know WHAT I was thinking? And my mom is always afraid that she's getting Alzheimer's because stuff like this happens to her. Well, I'm only 36, so what is MY excuse?? LOL I need some sleep...I need my brain back...I need a vacation...I need SOMETHING!

ANYWAY, today I scrapped this cute little mini LO for a challenge on Sneaky. Sticking with the "blue" theme, we had to use something OLD, something NEW, something BORROWED and something BLUE. I was browsing my sis's BOS on 2 Peas and came across a really cute project that immediately inspired me to make this and I'm really LOVING the way it turned out. I put it on a shelf in my scraproom. I think maybe I'll try making one with a pic of me and Lij. That's all for now..it's eleven and I should get to sleep. Thank God it's Friday tomorrow and I don't have to wake up at six a.m. for two days! YAY!!

Twenty seven....

Me and my sis were having a little cyber crop to motivate ourselves to scrap and this is the LO I came up with. Kind of simple and quick, but I really like it. And the pic is cute too and very clear...like the pic alot.

Twenty five and twenty six....

So my sis has been counting the LOs she's done this year so far, so I thought I would too. With these two, it brings me to 26 for the year so far. I don't really have a "goal", but I'm pretty sure I can reach at least 100 by the end of the year, if not more. Anyway, the first LO was for Sneaky and we had to do a monochromatic thing and use four different manufacturers patterned papers which was not a problem for me since I love layering papers. I've just never used all the same color. But I have to say, I really liked the way it came out and the blue with the black embellies worked really good together. We had to also only use embellies that started with the letters that spell BLUES and they could only be blue, white, black, silver or gold.
The second LO I started the other night when Adriana came over to scrap, but didn't finish it. It was a lift from one of my Memory Makers magazines...can't remember which one. The pic I took is a bit blurry, but I'm just too lazy to go take another!! LOL

And here's a cute pic I took of Mikey today. Over the weekend, I bought two twin sized flat sheets at Wal Mart for only $3 each to use as backdrops for pics of the kids, but so far Mikey has been my only subject and he hasn't been too cooperative. Maybe I should bribe him with some candy?? LOL

OH, and I got my hair cut again...I'm really loving the shorter look! And it's SO much easier to fix!

Happy Days....

It's always a good day when I find some time to scrap. Over the past week or so, I've gotten to do quite a few LO's. It takes me a while because I have to do a little here and there as time and Mikey permits, but at least I get some done! Here's a few I've done lately :)

A Layout for a challenge

This is for Sneaky. We had choices of stuff we had to do on our LO. I chose to use 6 patterened papers and one solid, all chipboard embellies and ribbon, a 5x7 picture, and lyrics from a song. I used the Steven Curtis Chapman "Miracle of the Moment".

I can never think of a title for my blog entries! LOL Anyway, here's a LO I started working on yesterday and finished up today. It was a lift off of 2 Peas. I don't really consider it a "lift" because I never use the same papers and exact embellishments, but I like to copy "placement" of stuff which is what draws me to a LO...not always what was used on it. The colors on this one were really nice too, so I tried to stay with the same reds, blues, yellows...I liked the brightness of it. I'm pretty happy with it except for maybe where I put the "moments", but I didn't have any other letters I wanted to use so it kind of bugs me that it overlaps on my head in the pic! I guess I should have picked out my title letters first and then I could have rearranged something. Oh well!! I'm still pretty happy with it. TFL :)

Just a few recent things

I finally got a good pic of that other BOM page I did and also added another one. The second one was for a challenge on our secret group. We had to use "white space" and add something of a "surprise". I used a pic I had taken for Miguel for Valentine's Day. I took a few, but this was one that I liked the best. My friend Cass edited it for me so that the only thing in color was my pink bra :) BTW, I gave Miguel those pics and he just LOOOOVED them!! :) Very flattering to know my baby still thinks I'm a HOTTIE :) Oh, and I did a LO of Mikey with his "Mr. Bear". I love the way it came out! Hmmm...not much else going on. Maybe I'll get some scrapping done later tonight or tomorrow. Night!

Some random stuff....

I haven't updated in a while...oops! Sometimes it feels like I'm just going from one thing to another and never really get a chance to sit down and write here. By the end of the night, if I do get the chance to sit down, I'm just too tired to think and write!

So, I made another Valentine's Day card. This one was for my bestest friend Lori, who lives in Pennsylvania. I mailed it out to her on Saturday, so hopefully she'll get it in time for Valentine's Day.

Oh, I got one of those TALL bookshelves for my scraproom. I had looked a couple of weeks back at Wal Mart and they had the slot for them, but they were all out! I went back this past weekend and there was ONE...YAY! I snagged it up right away! So I moved stuff around in my room yet AGAIN...LOL...but now I was able to get my Cricut and Sizzix on top of a table. I think it looks a whole lot better and a bit spacier. I also got this wrought iron thing that I don't know exactly what it was intended for, but it works PERFECTLY for my ribbons! I also worked on a LO last night for a challenge on our secret scrap group. We had to use nothing but our "old" stash. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. I usually don't do this type of LO very well, but I liked it. I think I'm going to get a nice frame for it and give it to my mom for Mother's Day. Oh and I did another page in my BOM, but I need to take a better pic of it. Well, that's pretty much it for now!
