We're Moving....

>

So...this time we really are moving. It seems that we are joining the masses of people having to give up their homes because unfortunately we just can't keep up with everything. I'm a little sad to be leaving. I kind of thought this would be our home forever and ever and Mikey would start school here too and all that stuff, but I guess God has different plans for us. I will miss my big house and of course my scraproom, but to be honest, I never really did like the idea of being WAY out here all by myself most of the time away from everyone I know. So maybe some good will come out of this. Well, I'm sure that whatever needs to come out of this will. I'm trying not to worry about it too much and leave it in God's hands, but I'm a big time worrier and it's a little hard for me. Maybe that's something I need to learn from this situtation.... I am not in control. I'm mostly worried about where Lij will go to school. We will be staying with my mom (thank God for her). How long, we have not yet decided. We have some options as far as Lij's school and we still have a couple of years before we have to worry about that for Mikey. Miguel and I still need to sit down and talk more and get some definite plans in order. I'm REALLY dreading the whole packing up and moving stuff. UGH...I never wanted to have to do that again, but here I am...doing it again. We'll be moving our internet service over there so I won't be without a computer...that's GOOD! LOL We still have to try and also figure out what we can fit into my mom's, what needs to go into storage and what needs to be sold. So on that note, if anyone is interested, we have a sofa and loveseat for sale. As well as a kitchen table and four chairs...not in the best condition..the top is all messed up and scratched on by the kids, we also have a refrigerator...about six months old...VERY clean...you know me! LOL Right now, that's all I know of that we have to get rid of. We might also have a yard sale in a couple of weeks to get rid of some stuff so I'll post in case anyone wants to come by and take a look. I'd really appreciate prayers right now that God will take us wherever we need to be. Thanks :)

Scrapapalooza :)

On Saturday, Chon and I spent the whole day scrapping! I got 11 LOs done and we were even able to squeeze in a little shopping trip to Big Lots and The Dollar Tree...got some great scrappy deals :) We also got some Mc D's on the way back to the house. We had such a great time! I hope we can do it again really soon! Here are my LOs and a pic of the gorgeous roses Miguel got me for Mother's Day :)

Happy Mother's Day

To all the mothers out there, I hope you have a wonderful day filled with lots of love and family time! We won't be doing anything special that I know of. Lij is going to his dad's for the weekend and Miguel has to work, so I'll just be hanging out here at home with Mikey.

Tomorrow, I am going to scrap at Chon's house. The whole scrapping at 911 thing fell through because her van broke down, but at least I still get some kid free, scrap time and that's all that matters! So I guess that is my little "Mother's Day get away"...that's okay with me :)

Lij made me this cute little gift at school! I loved it! And even more when I saw that the flower was a PEN! It now has a home on top of one my tables in my scraproom! Mikey of course wanted it right away and had a huge hissy fit when I wouldn't give it to him! LOL

I also made these cute cards using nothing but Daisy D's scraps. One is for my mom and one is for Miguel's mom.

Well, that's all for now. LOTS of layouts to come soon!! Stay tuned! :)

WE MOVED.....

this loveseat into my scraproom! LOL Last night I told Miguel about the idea of putting one of the sofas we have in the livingroom in my scraproom and before I had a chance to explain WHY, he said "okay, let's do it...now" LOL Let me tell you, it was NOT easy! That sucker was HEAVY! And then Miguel let it go once and I caught it..with my shoulder! OUCH!! But we got it up in my room and at first, I didn't like how it looked, but I think it was only where we put it. So today, I rearranged some stuff and got rid of one of the smaller tables and I'm pretty happy with the way it looks now. I have an extra comforter on the loveseat right now because it's not clean (to my standards), but I want to get a slipcover for it..probably black. I like that we have somewhere other than my stools to sit on and that the kids or Miguel could sit there and watch a movie or something. I think I won't be able to rearrange my scraproom anymore, but that's okay! We are cropping on Saturday so I hope to have some new LOs to upload. So far, I have like 8 packed. Maybe I'll try to get at least two more because all I have to really do is glue them down and I don't want to just sit there like the last time because I was already done!

Got my mojo back....

At least for a while! We'll see how long it lasts! I hadn't been able to scrap in a while! Wanted to...had the time...just no ideas or energy! I got to scrapping on Monday or Tuesday I think and got these three LOs done since then! I really love the one of me and Miguel...love that vintage, shabby look. But the fun, bright colors in the other two are nice also! Got to use some more of me newer MME Tres Jolie paper pad on Mikey's LO. The two of the kids are lifts from 2Peas, the other is all me :) TFL :)

How Beautiful

I came across this on Jayme Shepherd's blog and just HAD to post it! What a beautiful way to look at our struggles in life! I hope this blesses someone's day!

A living HouseGod is building you!by C.S. Lewis
C. S. Lewis quote. God's work in our lives can be painful, but His ultimate goal is to transform us into something better.
Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what he is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on: you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised.
But presently he starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make sense. What on earth is he up to? The explanation is that he is building quite a different house from the one you thought of — throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards.
You thought you were going to be made into a decent little cottage: but he is building up a palace. He intends to come and live in it himself.
C.S. Lewis, in Mere Christianity

some layouts

Whew! So I finally got some scrapping done! I was in a rut there for a bit. I hate it when that happens, but sometimes even though I have the time to scrap, I just don't "feel" like it or have any ideas! I can always find some inspiration on 2 Peas. All three of the LOs I did were inspired from LOs I have saved in my BOS there.

I'm really loving the distressed look of the MME papers lately. Which is good because I think I have like four or five different pads of those MME 180 sheet pads from HL so at least I'm making a "small" dent in those! It's funny how my style and preferences on papers and stuff changes. It's neat to see that when I look back on all my LOs! TFL :)

Dum, dum, de, dum.....

Yep, this is what we do when we go shopping at Hobby Lobby! My sis was looking for some beaded garland stuff and corsage pins and we ended up in the bridal stuff aisle and decided to have a little fun! Thank God I carry my camera EVERYWHERE! Awww...look at us..makes me want to have a BIG wedding!!

And check out that rock!! LOL :)

My sis and I hit up Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Scrapbook Heaven and Big Lots and look at the GREAT loot we got there!! American Crafts matchbook rubons for TWO bucks!!! Those things sell at HL or SB 911 for at least $10!! Also found some AC stickers for a buck and those cute Heidi Grace stick pins for a buck!

Here's a LO I did using some silly pics I took of my sis a while back. Well, she thinks the pics are silly...I think she looks really cute! I love the way it came out. I lifted it off of 2 Peas.

Here's a LO I did for one of the last Sneaky challenges. I love these pics of Miguel!

After I did a bit of cleaning up today, I decided to take the kids for a little walk to the school. I had wanted to let them play in the little playground, but the gate had a lock on it and I didn't want to cross them over the gate. Instead we just walked all around the school and the middle school right next to it. It is such a nice day today!! Not a cloud in the sky, not too hot..not too cold...nice little breeze. It was a great day for walking! I got a couple of really good shots of the kids! :)

Well, the kids are driving me nuts and I need to go downstairs to get them fed. I am hoping that I can have some time to scrap after buying all those goodies yesterday. I did some cleaning...I deserve it!! :)

Another LO

I managed to do one LO today. I always feel so cruddy when I can't scrap...don't know why. These past couple of days though, I've been in a creative funk though. It took me FOREVER to crank out those last two LOs that I really liked. For some reason...I'm "wanting" to scrap, but just not "feeling it" :( :( My sis however has been scrapping like crazy! Maybe she can be kind enough to pass me some of that scrappy mojo over here :)

Mikey said something funny today. We were in my scraproom and I was scrapping and he was sitting across the table from me watching a movie on the DVD player. I kept hearing him make some "noises" and I asked him if he needed to go use the potty. I'm not potty training him at the moment. I mean, I had a couple months back and he did really good with the peeing, but only when I would take him every 15 minutes. He wouldn't tell me on his own if he had to go between then and he'd just pee in his pull up. So, seeing how those darn things are kind of pricey, I just figured I'd wait a while longer and then try again. I got him a little box with 3 books for Easter about a bunny and they are all about different things he needs to learn like brushing his teeth, getting dressed (which he can do already) and going "poop" in the potty! So funny because that book is called "Plop"...LOL Yes, I think it's funny!! LOL So it comes with a chart and you get to put a sticker every time you do one of the things so I keep telling him that if he poops in the potty, he will get a sticker and then he can wear his Wiggles underwear or we can get him some Sponge Bob ones. ANYWAY, back to my story. So I keep asking him because he continues to make the noises. So I get up and check inside his diaper and nothing. Again..."Mikey, do you have to poop?" He tells me no. "Are you sure?" Again..."no". "If you need to go, tell me...." I guess he got tired of me asking because he says..."MOM, TRUST me!" LMBO!! I just KNOW he had to have picked that up from Elijah! I thought it was so funny! So, here's the LO I did. I'm pretty happy with it and I think the pic is really cute even though Mikey is a bit blurry and Lij looks like he has no body after I turned the pic to black and white and photo edited it a bit! LOL Oh well! :)
