FINALLY...some LO's

I've been scrapping since I came back home....LOL!! The first two LO's I did at my mom's house while we were over there. We had taken Elijah to eat at the Rainforest Cafe for his birthday. It was SO neat there! The food was good...I wouldn't call it great...a bit overpriced IMO, but the atmosphere was awesome! Lij loved it! And we all had such a great time so it was worth it. That whole day, we did stuff just for him. I took him to Wal Mart and we both had breakfast at the McDonald's in there. Then I got him a camo comforter set for his new twin bed and a lava lamp for his room, we went and got his hair cut, then we went to play putt putt golf, then we had dinner, then we went to this cool mirror maze thing downtown across the street from the Alamo. He had such a great day!

This last LO I started yesterday and finished up this morning while I was waiting for it to be time to go out and wait for the school bus. I took that pic the day before we took Elijah out for his birthday . We had a cake for him at my mom's house and he got to open his gifts. It's so funny. Him and Matthew are sometimes hanging off of each other...literally and Mattie calls them BFFs...LOL I think it's funny...but cute!! LOL



I started another LO with a pic of Mikey at the zoo, but I haven't finished that one yet. I'm really liking it so far. I'll post that later.

My Hair

This is me with my new haircut. Not the best pic of me, but there it is! I really love it! And the color isn't too drastic from what I had already. I'll try to get a better pic.

It's been a long time coming

My goodness, it's been a long time!! It was a busy last part of summer. Well, maybe not so much busy, but we were staying at my mom's who doesn't have a computer and I ended up taking scrap stuff over there, but never really got the chance to do anything except for one 6x12 LO that I will upload later when I take a pic of it. When we came back from my mom's because Lij was starting school, I had the job of putting all the stuff we had all taken over there, back in its proper place. Then Miguel started his vacation and we were hardly at home. We got so much done including cleaning out and straightening the garage. We got to go out ALONE together and spend time together on SO many days and nights thanks to my mommy who had also taken her vacation on those same days for that very reason...so we could leave Mikey with her. Thanks Mom!! :) We also did family stuff....we took Mikey to the zoo, Chuck E. Cheese, we went to the river. Sorry to say that Lij missed out on that stuff since he was in school. We had a great nine days together and I am going to miss him terribly because I know that I will not get to spend that much time with him for a good while :( :(

Anyway, I finally did it!! I cut my hair and donated it to Locks of Love! I was a bit scared and nervous about it. Not because I didn't want to do it. Mostly just because I didn't know how short it was going to be and if I was going to like it. But I did it and at first it was shocking to see how much hair was cut off and how short my hair is now, but it's a really cute cut and Miguel just LOVES it!! Which is the best part of it!! LOL :) He had been wanting me to cut my hair short FOREVER and this was the perfect time. I colored it too and I am really loving it! Plus it is not so darn hot with all that hair and this horrible heat!!

I finally did a LO today. Gosh, I was itching to get something done!! I am really loving the way this one came out! I hope I get some more done. I have tons of cool pics to scrap . And I just got the new CK and Scrapbooks Ect issues and saw lots of stuff I want to copy and try.

Lij is back in school, but had to be sent to another school because his grade was capped :( But guess what? The bus he has to take to the new school which by the way is not THAT far and is very nice too, stops right in front of our house!! Going AND coming...he gets left right on our lawn!! How awesome is that??!!? Now on days that are cold or rainy or whatever, I don't have to take Mikey out or worry that we will all get wet or be cold, ect. It's amazing the way God makes some things work out for the best :) :)

Hmmm...what else?? Can't think of anything else to write at the moment, but I will be back. Mikey is quiet and I have to see what this kid is up to!! LOL

MIA

Just a quick note. I've been MIA for a while....we were all staying at my mom's since there was no school for Lij, but I will be back home this weekend and back to blogging.

My Other LO's and a new "thing"

So here are the other LOs I did at crop that I had taken bad pics of and two 6x12 LOs I did. The one of Miguel I did last night and the one of Mikey I did a while ago. I am really LOVING that size!! I had seen lots of ppl doing them and wanted to try them, just hadn't gotten around to it. Well, now I think I'm HOOKED! It just may be my new "thing" for a while! I also want to try going back to 8.5x11 for a while or at least just doing some LOs in that size. I was getting a little tired of just 12x12. Well, thanks for looking :)

Crop Night

So this month's crop night was a blast! We had a great turnout--nine of us! Lots of chatting, shopping and scrapping! Actually, not much shopping. If you can believe it, I only spent $12 and that was getting some of the new BG Infuse papers, letters, and diecuts. I hit my free $10 and got some alpha stickers...can never have too many of those! And that was it! So I managed to finish all six of the LOs I packed for the night and we even had two hours left in the crop! We had to leave early though because our ride (Adriana) was leaving. We still got alot done and then my sis and I just came home and scrapped until two a.m. Good times :) Some of the pics I took of my LOs are blurry, so I have to retake them and upload them later.

A Quick Hello

I really need to try to keep up with this more often and not just when I have LOs to post! I've been getting LOs ready and packed all day for Saturday's crop. I had most of them sketched out already, but still needed to pick papers, ect, but hadn't done it yet because I wasn't quite in the scrappy mood. Elijah has been here this week (back from being with his dad), so we've just been hanging out. I really like the way I set my tables up in my scraproom because now anytime that I'm in there, I have Lij and Mikey spend time with me in there. Lij will be drawing and Mikey will be coloring and sticking stickers all over the place and we will just talk and listen to KLove...my new fave radio station and talk and stuff...nice :) So I think I'll have some pretty good LOs to post after Saturday. We have a nice turnout this time....lots of fun people showing up....should be tons of fun...can't wait!! It's nice to get away and have some scrappy, girl time even if it's only once a month. I can live with that! Well, I just have a quick LO that I did tonight to post. All that sketching, packing up and such got me in the scrappy mood, so I just did this quick LO with a pic of the flowers Mal got me this past Valentine's Day. I used some Creative Imaginations scalloped paper scraps I had....I just LOVE that paper. I wish I had gotten more when 911 had them :( Oh well!! Take a peek at my LO and good night for now :)
