I'm back

At last...a new LO! I just hadn't had the time. Mikey keeps me pretty busy and by the time he goes down, so do I! Last night I planned to scrap after I put Mikey to bed, but I'd taken a Benadryl because my allergies were bothering me and I ended up falling asleep too! So today while Mikey took a semi late nap, I worked on this page inspired by the awesome Sasha Farina! LOOOVE her work to pieces!! This puts my LO count at #99...only one more to go! Me and Chon are planning a little scrappy time this Saturday since Miguel will be in Mexico..again..for the ACTS retreat. The kids can hang out while we play :) So I'm sure I'll hit my goal that day.

On the work out front, I ran SEVENTEEN minutes nonstop today!! WOOOOHOOOOO!! That is a BIG deal for me! I think that's the most I've ever ran nonstop. It was roughly 1.200 miles. Yesterday, I ran 15 minutes nonstop and that was my goal today too, but I was able to hang in there for two more minutes. I think I might have over done it though because my left ankle and knee are hurting. Tomorrow is strictly walking at an incline to rest my poor legs! But I'm happy about my time today and I hope I can stay there or add more time. That's all for now! :)

Oh, Miguel remembered how much I love Gerber Daisies and brought me some last night :)

A Mini

I saw this gorgeous mini book on the Pink Paislee blog and decided to make one of my own. I already have a BOM in progress...a little 8x8 one, but thought this would be really cute and a whole lot faster to finish. Chon is making one too. Her theme is "Words to Live By" or something like that...cute theme I thought! I decided to make mine about the things that matter the most to me. One page has a picture and the opposite is for journaling. I left out the journaling because I want it to be private :) Miguel was kind enough to point out to me that my book "didn't close"...LOL It's a little chunky inside and it doesn't, but who cares? I like it that way :)

A GOOD day...

Well, I didn't get any scrapping done today...not enough time after I finished my cleaning, but I did get back to my working out after my weekend off and managed to run 13 minutes non stop!! WOOHOOO!! It was at 4.3 and I'm not sure if I could have gone longer...I didn't want to overdo it. But I'm so happy. It's alot for me. I'm still trying to find my way as far as trying to find my speed and build up my endurance. I don't really know what I'm doing right or wrong because I've been doing this for almost three years now and still haven't gotten where I'd like to be. And haven't really lost as much weight as I want to either. But before I get on a down slide about that....I did a good thing today and I'm happy about it :)

Please don't go....

I'm talking to my scrappy mojo! LOL I scrapped another LO today. I had this sitting on my desk halfway done since the last day I scrapped...Thursday...Friday...not sure...I was a bit stuck on it. I finished it today and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! Not sure if this scrappy roll I've been on is about to end since I had a bit of a time with this one, but I sure hope not! I love scrapping daily..it's my destresser, my little vaca. I'll enjoy it while I can! TFL :)

I forgot to post that this puts my LO count at #98! :)

Owl RAK

Since there were only 5 comments on my owl post, if you posted a comment and would like some owls, please email me your address :)

It's STILL here....

My scrappy mojo that is! Oops, I don't want to jinx it! LOL I scrapped TWO LOs today. The first was pretty simple and quick and it was another lift off of Michelle's blog. I really love her style and her choice of color combos. The second one was a lift from Sasha Farina's blog. I saw it and IMMEDIATELY fell in love with the colors in it!! For some reason, I am really loving the bright, bold colors right now. You have to check her blog out! I just found it recently, but I am visiting it every day for inspiration...love her style! I have links to both hers and Michelle's blog in my PLACES TO VISIT section. So this puts my LO count at #97. Wow, that sounds like alot of LOs! Hard to believe I've done so many already!

Oh, just something I wanted to document. Mikey has this thing where he says "Yes, sir" and does this like "salute" thing. I'm sure it's something I taught him. In fact, I just remembered that I taught him to do it to Miguel and to say "Yes, sir, Daddy" and to salute him. But I don't think he gets the distinction between "sir" and "maam" because he does it to me ALL the time. He did it to me today when I was getting him off the potty and I told him " Just so you know, Mikey...I'm not a 'sir'" And he says, "yes, you are sir, MISTER!" So now, not only am I a "sir", I'm also a "Mister" LOL I feel so not "girly" LOL Here's my LO's..tfl :)

BTW, there's a glare on one of the pics in the second LO that's not there IRL :)

A forgotten LO

Chon brought it to my attention that I never uploaded a LO of Mikey I did last week I think. I totally forgot about it. I mean, I thought I had uploaded it already, but apparently not!! So, this puts my count at #95. I wanted to scrap right now, but I'm sleepy...zzzzz....I tried to get Mikey to lay down with me to take a short nap, but he wouldn't. I guess I'l just watch some TV or something. Maybe tomorrow. TFL :)

This has to end sometime.....

My scrappy mojo can't last forever! LOL I have kind of been on a scrapping kick for a bit now and I'm wondering when the mojo is just going to decide to up and leave me!! I found this awesome looking LO that just inspired me with all it's bright, fun colors on Michelle L's blog and just knew I had to lift it. I didn't copy it exactly, but I did get the ideas from her LO so I need to give credit where credit is due :) It always confuses me exactly what "lifting" means. I mean, if you don't use the exact same things and title, ect..is it still a lift? I'm curious what everyone else thinks. I always tell where I lifted from because it makes me feel like a cheater to be claiming someone else's ideas...even if I didn't copy exactly. Anyway, I believe this puts me at #94. I have some more pics printed out on my table that I want to scrap. They are of Mikey and Lij at Kiddie Park when Miguel took them on his vaca. Yep, I still have pics from WAY back then! I'm not the kind of scrapper who tries to "catch up" with their pics, but I just feel like I have so many good ones that I just want to work with, but don't always have all the time I'd like. What a bummer that I can't just scrap the day away! Well, thanks for looking at my LO! Night!

Owl how to....

There wasn't much to making the little owls. These were the basic shapes I drew for the bigger pieces of the owl.

They are a little "off", but I just eyed it and fixed it with the scissors when I was cutting the pieces out of the patterned paper. For the eyeballs, I just cut those out of white cardstock freehand and then drew in the "pupils" with a black Sharpie. After I glued all the pieces together, I just traced parts of it with a fine tip Sharpie marker. It just occurred to me that I could also try making some of these from felt! And googly eyes might be really cute on these too! If anyone does decide to make their own, please post a link...I'd love to see your creations :)

Some Homemade scrap goodies and a RAK :)

I scrapped a page last night. It was a lift from 2 Peas I believe. This puts me at #93!! Wooohooo!! I have so many pics I want to scrap, but never enough time or mojo. I felt like creating today, but didn't want to go through the whole looking for inspiration, picking papers and embellies and so on. So while I was browing my usual blogs, I came across Michelle's L's blog and I just loved the little owl she has in her..what do you call it? Um..."banner" at the top of her page. Not sure if I'm calling it the right thing. I don't know if she made her little owl or if it's something store bought, but I thought I'd try to duplicate one. I thought it came out so cute, I decided to make a few! I can't wait to use them on a page! So, here's where the RAK comes in. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of them and I will randomly pick a winner to receive some of my little friends :) Going to go watch a movie now and enjoy the rest of my time with Lij before we have to take him back to Gilbert's! TFL :)

BTW, these little owls were handmade. I just drew them free hand...the body piece, the "face" piece, cut out the eyes from white cs and just freehand cut the wings too. I'll draw some out later and post pics of the different pieces for those of you who want to make your own :)
